GIG Recruitment is proud to be working with a leading e-commerce warehousing distributor based in the Northamptonshire area. We are looking for passionate and hardworking individuals that are able to commit for a minimum of 3 month’s guaranteed work, with more thereafter.

Work away for 4 days per week with 3 days back in London.



Bus to and from London each week is provided.  

In this role you will be guaranteed a minimum of 44 hours work per week, spread over just four days each week. Your travel costs and accommodation costs will be covered free of charge.

Working away in a warehouse for
3, 4 or 7 days per week:

£9.50 - £11 ph x 12 hour days


You can get £100 and they will get £50

*when they have completed at least 4 rotations in 4 weeks with no cancellations and are still working regularly with us by Christmas. 

About the Role:

Successful candidates will be required to work away from home a minimum of four nights a week, and have three nights at home, based on a rotating shift pattern. Transport to and from Hammersmith, London to Northamptonshire, accommodation for 4 days whilst at work and breakfast will be provided free of charge as part of the position. You must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 month’s work to be eligible for this position.

The Ideal Warehouse Operative:

  • Committed and reliable and available to work full time hours for the next 3 months

  • Great team player, energetic, dependable, punctual, and has a good eye for detail

  • Experience is preferred but no experience needed

  • Full training provided 

  • Take pride in what you do and are looking to take your career to the next level or learn lasting life skills

  • You must be over 18 to work in a warehouse 

What does a Warehouse Operative do:

  • Picking & packing goods ready for delivery

  • Loading & unloading goods

  • Manual handling

  • General up-keep of workspace, keeping it to the highest hygiene standard

  • General warehousing duties including sweeping & tidying work areas

  • Adhere to all site Health and Safety policies and procedures

Uniform Requirements:

Always buy safety boots which come above the ankle and conform to CE and ISO standards

Steel toe capped boots

Wear a smart, plain black t-shirt or polo

Polo shirt

Wear black cargo or hard wearing trousers.


You may wish to bring a jumper as it may get cold in the winter 

Warm clothes

You will always be provided with a High Vis Vest 

You will also be provided with any other safety equipment needed when onsite. Eg. Safety knives or gloves
